These terms govern your use of paired.gift (the "Service"). By using the Service — whether as an organizer creating an exchange or a participant joining one — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
What paired.gift does
paired.gift lets an organizer enter a group of people, randomly assign gift-exchange pairings, and privately email each person their assignment. Participants can maintain a wishlist visible to whoever draws them. That's it — the Service isn't a marketplace, doesn't process gift purchases, and isn't involved in any transaction between participants.
Your account and content
- You're responsible for the accuracy of names, emails, and other information you enter — ours or your participants'.
- You're responsible for having the right to share a participant's name, email, and phone number with us for the purpose of running the exchange.
- Don't use paired.gift to collect contact information for any purpose other than running a gift exchange, and don't use it to send anything other than the exchange-related emails the Service itself generates.
- Organizer login links and participant reveal links are private credentials — you're responsible for keeping them to yourself.
Free plan and paired.gift Pro
paired.gift's free plan has no participant limit. It includes a small "powered by paired.gift" footer and, on the organizer's own dashboard and exchange pages only, may show ads. paired.gift Pro is a paid subscription for organizers that removes the footer and ads and unlocks reminder emails, cloning an exchange, and wishlists for everyone in the organizer's exchanges. paired.gift Plus is a paid subscription for participants that lets them add their own wishlist in any exchange they're part of.
Subscriptions are billed by Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected at checkout) until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the billing page; your Pro features remain active through the end of the period you already paid for. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Acceptable use
Don't use paired.gift to:
- Send spam, harass, or contact people who haven't agreed to be part of your exchange.
- Attempt to access another organizer's exchange or another participant's assignment.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including automated abuse of the join or draw features.
- Use the Service for anything illegal.
We may suspend or remove access for use that violates these terms.
Availability
paired.gift is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time — especially during the high-traffic holiday season it's built for. We're not liable for a missed or late notification, an email that doesn't get delivered, or a gift exchange that doesn't go as planned.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, paired.gift and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.
Changes
We may update these terms or the Service itself over time. If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
